How to Set up
a productive home office
More and more of us are working from home these days! If you are working from home and haven’t set up a dedicated space. It’s the time! A dedicated space can help promote a better work-life balance just like leaving the office does. A “home office” doesn’t need to be a special room in your house (though it can be!)
Here are some top tips to maximize any space you have.
1- Get a desk! Or a table of any kind. It can be a fold-up desk, a small table from Facebook Marketplace, or a corner of your dining table that you rarely use.
2-Make sure your chair is the correct height. Your forearms should be at a 90-degree angle for best ergonomics!
3- Shine some light. Making sure your space is well lit to save your eyes some strain. I like daylight bulbs and they also make dimmable bulbs!
4- Get organized. Utilize vertical space with shelves or hanging organizers.
5- Plant some friends. Houseplants clean the air AND boost your mood. If you’re looking to shop local, Succs’n Such has amazing succulents.
6- Make it you! Hang some curtains, choose a paint color you love, or order some prints on Etsy. An office doesn’t have to scream “cubicle”.
