No surprise this year, there has been a continuous outpouring of locally owned businesses in the Brazos Valley. Some newly open and a ton on the way!

Frida’s Kitchen & Bar – Irma Arellano’s vision for Frida’s is inspired by her passion for food, cooking and love for her culture. Frida’s Kitchen & Bar brings you authentic Mexican flavors, using the freshest ingredients to bring traditional homemade dishes with a modern touch from heart to table. Located on S. Texas Ave.
Elia Cafe Tapas Bar – After years of dreaming of one day opening a companion restaurant to Luigi’s (named after her grandfather), the opportunity arose to do so in honor of her grandmother, Elia. The other half of her family’s culinary heritage brings flavorful Spanish cuisine to beautiful Old Bryan Marketplace. Located on S. Bryan Ave.
Mochinut – A specialty mochi donut shop that also sells Korean street style hotdogs and boba milk tea! Located on Wellborn Rd.
Cinnaholic – Locally owned and operated bakery specializing in custom gourmet cinnamon rolls and homemade cookie dough, brownies, and cookies. All of their products are made with the highest quality ingredients and are 100% vegan, dairy & lactose-free, egg-free, and cholesterol-free. Located on Texas Ave. S.
Evie + Oak – Inspired by her two littles, Everly and Oaklyn, former teacher, turned stay-at-home mom opened the modern children’s boutique Evie & Oak to fill the void that was children’s clothing options in BCS. Located on Arrington Rd.

Royal Bar – Coming soon to Hearne! Previously the Old Main Cafe, renovations have started to bring new life to the historic downtown building in Hearne. Royal Bar aims to bring entertainment to downtown Hearne as a new sports bar and hotel.
1868 Landmark – Newly opened restaurant to Calvert’s historic Main Street and business district is the place where you have permission to enter your comfort zone; one bite at a time, and to savor the moment. The atmosphere, service and menu are wonderful—you will not be disappointed.

PopStroke – PopStroke brings a new spin to mini-golf with next-generation technology and custom-designed courses. PopStroke offers two 18-hole putting courses, an ice cream parlor, a playground, and an array of outdoor games like cornhole and foosball. Located on Ball St.
Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille – The new Bryan location will feature movies, bowling, an arcade, restaurant & bar! Special features include a second level for 21+ with bowling, dining, Only Sons Brewery, and a balcony. The Grove, an outdoor amphitheater will have live music and outdoor movies, yard games, plus indoor and outdoor Pickleball courts! Located in Travis Midtown Park.
Clean Eatz – Healthy food restaurant that offers a variety of delicious and affordable options including dine-in cafe, weekly meal plan service, Grab ‘N’ Go meals, protein smoothies, healthy snacks, and catering for all occasions. Located on Texas Ave. South.
CoCo Shrimp – Bringing a taste of Hawaii to College Station, the popular Fort Worth-based eatery serves authentic shrimp, rice, and salad plates along with Japanese mochi for dessert. Located in Century Square.
West End Elixir Company – Downtown Bryan’s premier cocktail bar. Over 100 cocktails on the menu and over 100 whiskies on the shelf. Check out their cigar lounge too, the Velvet Leaf Cigar Lounge. Located on South Main St.
Kinderhill Brew Lab – Relocating and reopening this Fall, this one-stop-shop will feature traditional and unique small batch beers, award-winning pizzas, bakery, and coffee shop unlike anything this town has seen. Located on W 31st St.
La Bodega Baja Taco Bar – The much loved La Bodega is coming back to College Station! It was originally opened in Northgate District in October 2000. In addition to all of the classics, Baja style fish and shrimp tacos, Mexican Martini Shakers, and Strawberry Tarts from Cafe Eccel, version 2.0 will offer ceviche, calamari, crab cakes and so much more. De Baca Steakhouse – Construction is underway for the new upscale steakhouse in College Station. Offering patrons a unique and delectable steakhouse experience. Located on SH 6 South.
